In line during the days of Libya Build Expo 2009, a presentation will be held,
introducing several Maltese firms specialized in building and construction field and its related products and services, to the local and foreign economic actors.
The purpose of the presentation is to explore better opportunities for trade cooperation and establishment of strategic partnership to enhance many areas of development and refresh the external affairs between the Libyan and Maltese enterprises.
The presentation is organized and sponsored by the Commercial Office of the Maltese embassy and the Malta Enterprise and will be submitted in Omar Al Mokhtar hall on Tuesday 19/May/2009 at 11:30am.

The General Manager of Bank savings and the Real Estate
Investment (Dr. Tarek Al Buraiki), has signed a number of
contracts for the implementation of 2350 housing units in Zawya
City.
The Secretary of the Management Committee of Roads and Bridges
(Mr. Mohammed Skah), has signed contracts for implementing a
number of projects in Zawya City specifically for roads of 79
kilometers. There was an announcement of a tender for the
implementation of 130 km of agricultural roads and different
internal roads within Zawya city.
Secretary of the Committee of the General Authority
of Marine announced the
completion of contract procedures to implement the
project for Port and
Anchorage in Zawya City, with the company’s director
of (G-O-B) Cypriot. This project will take24 months
to be implemented and includes the followings:
1- 1,000 meters in length Sidewalks
2- 310 meters in length Sea walls
3- 200 fishing marines units
4- 15 bulldozer
This project aims to provide job opportunities and a
production of five thousand tons of fish annually.
The secretary of Management Committee of Development
and Management
positions signed contracts for implementing 10
thousand housing units in Zawya
city. These contracts integrated facilities and
installations in accordance with the
best standard specifications, which took into
consideration the nature and
characteristics of the Jamahiriya local environment.
Korean company (Shin Han)
has signed a contract to implement 5000 housing
units south Zawya City and
announced to implement contracts for the University
of Zawya City providing
components of colleges and halls and student housing
and functional, and all
educational facilities.
Contracts were signed for the implementation of
integrated projects and housing
facilities and overseeing the implementation of
these projects in Libyan cities.
The number of contracts signed were (77) contracts
at a total cost of (3) billion,
(442) million and (272) thousand dinars.
