Recently another season of
Libya Build Exhibition and EMEX Show has been accomplished successfully during the period from 18th to 21st of May, 2009.
The event was opened officially by The Secretary of the Libyan General People's Committee (the Prime Minister), Dr. Baghdadi Al Mahmoudi, along with The Secretary of the Libyan General People's Committee of Industry, Economy and Trade (Minister), Mohamed Haweij and The Secretary of Planning and Finance (Minister)Abdelhafidh Zlitni.
The opening ceremony sparked the attention of high ranking Libyan officials, businessmen and expertise in the related sectors and covered by several press representatives.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of other high-rank officials led by the Secretary of the Steering Committee of the Libyan Railway Executive Board, Eng. Saeed Rashid, the Secretary of the General Union of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Jomaa Al Ostta, the Secretary of the General Board of Fairs, Dr. Jamal El Lamoshi, the Chairman of the Libyan Contracting Union, Mr. Samir El Werfali and hundreds of businessmen and CEO's of local and international organizations.
Mr. Firas ElMortadi the Director of
ATEX, the organizing company, and Mr. Maged Mahfoud the Managing Director along with Mr. Abdu Al Hamid Edbayba, the Chairman of the Libyan Investment and Development Company, the Platinum sponsor of
Libya Build 2009, were at the forefront of welcoming the VIP visitors.
The very successful event featured significant business aspects with the participation of
541 local and international enterprises from
31 countries specializing in the field of building, construction, electrical and mechanical systems and about
15,000 visitors. Both events (Libya Build and EMEX) were co-located in the same venue at Tripoli international Fairground.
The 541 Companies came from 31 countries which are Austria , Belgium , Bosnia , China , Croatia , Egypt , France , Germany , Greece , India , Italy , Jordan , Korea , Libya , Luxemburg , Malta , Morocco , Oman , Portugal , Russia , Saudi Arabia , South Africa , Syria , Taiwan , Thailand , Tunis , Turkey , United Arab Emirates , UK , Ukraine and the United States of America.
The event was organized by ATEX, supported by
Digital Group for Telecom and Informatics as an IT and Media partner and sponsored by LIDCO, the
Libyan Investment and Development Company.
The next edition of Libya Build will be held over the period of five days instead of four,
starting from 16th to 20th of May 2010.
